“Socioeconomic and Political Transformation in Africa through Innovative Youth Volunteerism”

Cultivating a new generation of innovators, problem-solvers and more technologically savvy youth remains central to inclusive economic and social transformation as well as durable social cohesion and stability in Africa. Utilizing innovative approaches to volunteerism to harness the abundant entrepreneurial spirit of young people will ensure the creation of adequate new and productive jobs, businesses and new ways to deliver services.

United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme will host an event titled “Socioeconomic and Political Transformation in Africa through Innovative Youth Volunteerism” as TICAD7 official side event, with the support of Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan).
